Starting Your Nationwide Claim
Nationwide claims can be reported through your Nationwide agent, the Nationwide app, online or by phone. A claims representative will be assigned and may request photos or schedule an inspection.
When you come in, it helps to bring your claim number, your adjuster's name and phone number, your policy card and any photos you took at the scene. If you do not have all of that yet, bring the vehicle anyway and we will help you work out the rest.
Do I Have to Use a Nationwide-Recommended Shop?
No. Nationwide may suggest shops, but Kentucky law gives you the right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. If you choose AutoMax, we work with Nationwide on your behalf. We submit our estimate and photos to your adjuster and answer their questions so you are not stuck relaying messages.
Hidden Damage and Supplements
An initial estimate often misses damage that is only visible once panels and bumpers come off. When we find something extra, we stop, photograph it, write a supplement and send it to your Nationwide adjuster for approval before continuing, so your claim and your repair both stay accurate.
If Your Car Is Not Drivable
Tell your Nationwide claim representative where the car is, and ask whether your policy includes towing and rental reimbursement. We can start the estimate as soon as the vehicle arrives, and structural damage is checked with a full structural damage assessment.

Is a Nationwide recommended shop mandatory?
No. Any recommendation is optional. Kentucky law lets you choose your repair shop, and we will coordinate directly with your Nationwide adjuster.
How long should I wait for a Nationwide inspection before getting an estimate?

Will my Nationwide repair include ADAS calibration if it is needed?
